In 1973, our founder developed a proprietary extraction method that greatly reduced the heat used in extraction — preserving each plant’s naturally occurring constituents in the ratios found in nature. We call the result a Holistically Balanced® extract.
What is Bio-Chelated®
Most extraction relies on heat, which can strip or alter a plant’s more delicate constituents. Bio-Chelated® uses customized percolation and distillation with minimal or no heat, and a menstruum formula matched to each plant species — a process that can take days to weeks per botanical.
The goal is simple: keep as much of the plant’s active constituents, in the ratios found in nature, as possible. That’s what makes an extract Holistically Balanced® rather than a narrow, isolated fraction.
Step by step

We procure ethically sourced plants globally, through supplier relationships built over decades.
Step 2
Incoming plants are tested to confirm identity and screen for pesticides and adulterants.
Step 3
A menstruum matched to each species extracts the plant with minimal or no heat, over days to weeks.
Step 4
Finished extracts are tested in our lab and validated by a third-party lab against specification.
