About this format
Zea-Botanicals® extracts are botanicals delivered in Zemea® propanediol — a clear, water-compatible carrier produced from corn sugar rather than from a petrochemical feedstock. As with every Bio-Botanica extract, the carrier is what the finished extract is supplied in; the botanical itself is drawn out by our Bio-Chelated low-heat process.
The range exists for personal-care developers who want a glycol-free ingredient statement without changing how the extract behaves in the water phase. It is the same botanical library you will find in our other cosmetic formats, delivered in a different carrier.

Formulation applications
Zea-Botanicals® extracts disperse into the water phase of toners, essences, mists, serums, gels, lotions, creams and hair and scalp formulas, in cold process or with gentle warming. Formulators typically choose the range when the ingredient list is a selling point for the finished brand.
